-October/November 2021 Update-
Happy Halloween (weekend)!
Yep, Halloween and the end of October are near. The chilly season, perfect for a good scare. One that encourages development of a horror game. And in a way, it has.
While I haven't been able to move it in-engine - as my time is still primarily for college classes - refinements of current and future material are making their way into the script, mostly regarding player direction and exploration. Taking classes specifically geared toward game design has definitely helped to show potential flaws in the design, which is never a bad thing to catch before release.
Another small block in Last Call's development has - ironically been - another game project: a first-person shooter inspired by grindhouse action films. This project isn't personal, but a graded final as part of a class. So you can guess where the immediate priority lands. But the semester will come to an end eventually, so you can expect some greater development progress around December and January.
As for me... well, I can't forget that Last Call is a horror adventure inspired game. So I've got to fit time in to play the classics for inspiration...
